Absolut and Charli xcx tease collectibles with concert T-shirts
Absolut and Charli xcx launch a two-year partnership, teasing T-shirts, collectible drops, custom glassware and fan-led experiences.
In this article: The first merch tease, planned collectible drops, and what the partnership means for fan-led brand design.
An “I ♥ Absolut” T-shirt was the first tangible sign of a new partnership between Absolut Vodka and Charli xcx. The singer wore the shirt backstage during her Los Angeles shows, while dancers brought variations of the design onto the stage during “Card Declined.”
The October 20 announcement sets out a two-year global collaboration that promises limited-edition drops, custom glassware, collectible items and fan experiences. Those future products have not yet been unveiled, making the existing T-shirt imagery a preview rather than evidence of a full merchandise collection.
A familiar T-shirt becomes the first campaign object
The shirts borrow the instantly recognizable “I ♥” souvenir format and replace the destination with Absolut or “Dirty Martini.” That simple adaptation makes the brand name wearable and gives Charli’s preferred cocktail a role in the visual language of the campaign.
Rather than launching with a finished collection, the partnership began through backstage photographs and stage costumes. The merchandise-like tease turns a concert moment into a brand reveal, connecting a physical item with the audience already watching the performance.

Glassware and collectibles are planned, not yet released
Absolut says the collaboration will expand into limited-edition drops, collectible items, custom glassware and fan events over the next two years. It has not specified the final designs, quantities, prices or release dates for those items in the announcement.
The product roadmap connects the brand’s cocktail identity with Charli’s music and nightlife culture. Custom glassware offers a natural extension of the martini motif, while collectible drops could give fans physical reminders of the partnership. For now, those are announced categories, not confirmed product executions.
Charli’s Angels are part of the creative proposition
Absolut says fans will help shape elements of the partnership as it develops. Craig Van Niekerk, the brand’s vice president of global marketing, framed the collaboration as a chance to co-create with Charli and her Angels fandom rather than impose a fixed brand playbook.
That approach gives the initial shirt tease a different role from a conventional celebrity endorsement. It establishes an aesthetic that future merchandise and experiences can build on, while leaving room for the community to influence what follows.
What marketers can learn from Absolut’s wearable teaser
The clearest lesson is how a simple, recognizable object can introduce a larger collaboration before its product range is ready. A T-shirt shown in an authentic performance setting can carry a brand message without requiring a fully staged product launch.
The longer-term test will be whether the announced glassware, collectibles and events deliver distinctive designs and meaningful fan participation. No sales, engagement or campaign-effectiveness figures were provided in the launch materials, so the commercial impact remains unverified.
