Singaporean fashion house and luxury goods company Charles & Keith participated in the first-ever Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW) on Decentraland, held March 24 - 27, 2022, with a booth that will remain open to the public in the metaverse until April 14.
The brand is also the first Singapore fashion label to implement cryptocurrency as a payment method on its e-commerce site.
Charles & Keith's booth displays the season's icons, ranging from the candy-colored Koa shoulder bag to its playful tie-up Alex sandals.
Avatars can explore the pop-up to view the brand's Spring 2022 campaign video and try on digital wearables akin to a physical store experience. Guests also can visit the company's official e-commerce channel to buy physical products of what their avatars are wearing.
To put its money where its marketing is in a new digital era, Charles & Keith has also partnered with TripleA, a payments platform that helps customers who own cryptocurrency use it to buy goods and services.
Accepted coins include popular digital currencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether USDT.
Shoppers with existing wallets need to scan a QR code at checkout to make payment with their accepted cryptocurrency of choice.
This new initiative marks the brand's first campaign into digital currencies and will be executed in Singapore, the United States, Australia, Canada, Malaysia, the UK, and the EU during an initial launch phase in the first half of 2022.
